What is treatment like and what can I expect after?
Your Kybella treatment will be performed in-office and should take just 15-20 minutes to complete. Many of our patients are able to then return to their normal schedules with a few days of moderate downtime. Most patients will experience swelling to the area that can last 3-5 days. Icing and compression may help symptoms.
Depending on your unique situation, Dr. Burgess may recommend a series of 4-6 Kybella® treatment sessions performed at one month intervals. This will be tailored to the specific amount of submental fat you are wanting to treat.
This can be combined with other non-surgical treatments to help tighten the skin. If your tissue is too loose or thick, you may be a better neck lift candidate. This will be determined during a consultation.
When will I see results?
You will begin noticing results gradually as fat cells are naturally eliminated from your body. Most patients experience a noticeable reduction of fat at about 2-4 Kybella® treatments.
